Bloglandia Ball

Today is a beauty, one to spend outside, but I came in to Google something and in the blink of an eye, I was here , and here , then followed another link and stopped HERE!   Have you all heard about the Bloglandia Ball?  The idea was born at Be--Dream--Play blog   of Elizabeth Bunsen.  It's all happening on Sept. 26, where all bloggers can join in the fun, with the purpose being to share & create together while dancing & reveling at the ball.  Now does this sound like fun, or what!  I'm more of a jeans & tee shirt kinda gal, than the ball gown type, but I'm not one to miss a party, so I'll be there with bells on and am hoping to be joined by you, and you, and YOU!  So if you still haven't clicked on any of the links for more details, click this now  and start making your plans:)  I'm thinking a little bling here, a little bling there, maybe something a little lacy, this is just going to be so much FUN!!

The Walldogs are coming!

Starting Thursday morning, the Walldogs will begin transforming Algoma with their painted murals, and it sounds like it'll be wild!  This a live "meet", with up to 80 Walldogs arriving from around the country to participate, and paint 8-10 murals.  And the best part is that local artists can apply & help out!  Does this sound like a great  time, or what?  Check out some of these samples of their work , I can't wait to see what they do! 
One source says "They were a rugged lot in the tradition of cowboys, mariners, and artic explorers.  They painted signs on walls, great & small, and they worked like dogs, so they were called Walldogs".   
Now wouldn't it be great to have a grand "mixed media meet" ,where we all could go for a week end and work on one spectacular mural sized collaborative project?   Food for thought, at least:)
