Spray painting with your garden
posted about using spray paint in my journal. I've been amazed at how many folks had questions about it, so I did a few more pages today & took pictures as I went along.
Michelle Ward has been using spray paint for awhile now, with some remarkable results. Being inspired by what she's done with this technique (and being frustrated that nothing else was working!) I gave it a try, with the only difference being that I used foliage from my gardens rather than stencils. So, take a look, gather your supplies, and in less than 5 minutes you'll have a spread done-seriously! All you need is a journal, spray paint (I used both Krylon & Design Master-a floral spray paint), papers to protect the rest of your journal, and a cup of coffee:) In this first series, I started by lightly spray painting a couple of colors onto the pages. Then placed some Globe Thistle leaves and Echninacea onto the pages, spray with a couple of different colors, remove the foliage, and that's it! The next set, I sprayed the pages yellow, laid out yarrow foliage and Echinacea again, grab your spray paint, aim, spray, remove plants---and you're done again! The last photo, I started with a couple different colors of paint, and laid branches & twigs onto the pages, spray painted with red, removed the sticks, and another spread ready to go. Can't get much easier than that! If anyone tries this out, let me know, I'd love to see your results. Have some fun with it!
